History:

Adopting the corporate name of Indústria e Comércio de Calçados Malu Ltda, a Malu was founded in May 16th 1980. Its production of women footwear for the internal market began in July of the same year, having then 19 employees. In 1981 it already expanded its production: started producing 300 pairs of shoes daily for the external market, namely, to the United States. Year after year, the company has been expanding until where it is today.


Today:

Today, Malu Footwear, located in Rua Rodolfo Behne, 166, in the city of Lindolfo Collor, has 4 factory buildings that occupy approximately 12,800 m 2 of constructed area. It employs approximately 1,400 workers that produce 13,000 pairs of shoes daily.
Malu Footwear is among the most modern footwear industrial organization of the country, being focused on the production of high-quality women footwear for the external market.


Quality:

Malu Footwear was appraised with the ISO 9001:2000 quality certificate by BRTÜV Avaliações da Qualidade Ltda. S/C, since December 2002. The products of Malu are among the most demanded by Export Companies. This is a result not only of the Board's concrete performance and bold thoughts, but also of the quality of its products, guaranteed by the company's highly skilled workforce. The company's policy is to produce footwear that satisfy the increasingly demanding customer needs, meeting requirements such as product quality, competitive price and punctuality. Moreover, to guarantee process efficacy, where results meet planned targets, Malu is continually improving its Quality Management System.
